CGS Hawk Classic two seat light sport eligible aircraft.

First introduced in 1984 the  CGS Hawk Classic was one of the first true three axis, ultralight aeroplanes and is available as either a tail dragger or trike.
Construction, uses aluminum tube rivet and bolt together construction, covered in dacron sail cloth. Building times are reported in the 200 to 300 hour range. Controls are standard stick and rudder with a center mounted stick and side mounted throttles.

The engine is mounted in a pusher configuration. Early models had the engine mounted inverted. Later models have an upright engine mount.

The CGS Hawk Classic can be powered by the Rotax 503, and 582, as well as the Hirth line of two stroke aircraft engines, and the HKS twin cylinder 60 HP four stroke engine.

The Hawk Classic makes an ideal trainer. It features tandem seating, with excellent visibility from the front seat. Flaps allow the craft to land at speeds below 35 m.p.h., and take off in less than 250 feet.

When equipped with the 503 Rotax engine cruise is an honest 65 m.p.h. with a climb rate of around 600 feet per minute. When using the optional 582 Rotax engine climb increases to over 1,000 per minute and cruise about 75.
