The Remos G3 600 has recently received approval under the new Special Light Sport Aircraft category. While it had been certified in Germany where it is produced it took a while for the paperwork, manuals, etc to be translated and approved for the U.S. program. The Remos G3 600 is a very sleek well designed and engineering aircraft featuring composite construction, using Kevlar, carbon fibre and glass components. The craft is been sold ready to fly by Rollison after being test flown both at the factory and by Rollison Aircraft.
Power is supplied by the Rotax 912 S, 4 cylinder, liquid cooled 100 HP aircraft engine. With this power the aircraft cruises along at around 120 mph, with a fuel consumption of 3 gallons per hour. With fuel on board this gives the craft a range of over 500 miles.
Rate of climb depending on load, and conditions is over 1,000 per minute and stall with flaps comes in below 45 mph.
The control system is standard stick and rudder with dual sticks, throttles and rudder pedals. The seats are adjustable and the cabin width is 48 inches which means that pilots of all sizes should be quite comfortable. There is a luggage area located behind the passenger seat.
The craft comes with a basic VFR avionics package. Options include a BRS parachute and various avionics packages.
The factory reports that over 150 aircraft are currently flying worldwide, with approximately 20 aircraft currently being prepared to enter the U.S. market now that the certification process has been completed. |
