Quicksilver Sprint II ground handling.

The Sprint II features dual throttle controls located on the left and right hand sides of the seats. Elevator and aileron control is via a center mounted joy stick.

Rudder control is by rudder cable connected to dual rudder pedals, so that both student and instructor or pilot and passenger can taxi or fly the plane.

Steering is done via a steerable nose wheel. The plane comes equipped standard with band breaks which will also aid in turning and stopping. Another system that can aid is using the 68 inch prop to blast air over the rudder in short bursts, which really works well on floats.

While there is no actual suspension system on the plane the axle and nose struts flex enough, with the air in the tires to take some pretty stiff landings.

One of the saving graces is that the Quicksilver Sprint II does not spend a lot of time on the ground once power is applied. Using the Rotax 503 dual carb dual cdi ignition engine the plane will come off a grass strip in about 100 feet and on a paved strip in about 50 feet.
