Breezer II lightsport aircraft.

Sportplanes.com had a display booth in the Convention Center for those looking for information on the lightsport aircraft they handle. At the airport they had their latest addition to their stable of aircraft the Breezer II and the DOVA. The Breezer II a German design which was first introduced about six years ago, is being reintroduced, after the earlier version ran into problems with "design rights."

The Breezer II is being produced using the latest technology and equipment in a recently completed 17,000 square foot facility in Germany. The factory is gearing up for production and expects to be able to produce 100 aircraft a year by the end of 2008.

The Breezer II is a low wing, side by side seating two place, in a tricycle gear configuration, with dual stick and rudder controls. The craft uses all metal aluminum construction. Power is supplied by the Rotax 912 S 100 HP 4 cylinder aircraft engine.

Sportsplanes.com reports that with this power the craft cruises along comfortably at 105 knots. With a climb rate at gross of over 1,000 feet per minute. Fuel capacity is 17 gallons with the fuel tank located in the nose of the plane.
